About our Community
The Lake Hallowell Homeowners Association is located in Olney, Maryland and consists of 208 single-family homes and 210 townhomes located along Old Baltimore Road as well as the Arden Woods community located off of Old Vic Boulevard. The entire community is situated adjacent to beautiful Lake Hallowell and surrounded by natural wooded areas and green space with numerous walking paths, including a 1.5 mile loop around the lake, that let you stay in touch with nature while remaining close to nearby urban areas. In addition to the lake, our community has a community pool, 3 communal playgrounds, and tennis/pickleball courts for residents and guests to enjoy.
About Lake Hallowell
Lake Hallowell was built in 1989 by constructing a dam across a tributary to Hawlings River in the Patuxent River watershed. The lake is the heart of our community and allows for beautiful nature walks around the 1.5 mile lake loop, as well as opportunities to view different flora and fauna.
Community Pool
Our community boasts a large communal pool with slide, lap lanes, and underwater benches. In addition, the complex contains a smaller wading pool, volleyball net, and 2 large shaded awnings. The pool house was recently renovated and contains an office, men’s and women’s changing rooms, and vending machines.
Tennis, Pickleball Courts
Lake Hallowell has 2 tennis courts and 4 pickleball courts located near the pool complex and main playground. The courts were recently resurfaced and are available for resident use!
Playgrounds
Lake Hallowell contains three playgrounds with a variety of play equipment, including large playsets, swings, and a merry-go-round. Kids of all ages are free to make use of these amenities!
